Certificate IV in Gas Supply Industry Operations - UEG4022

 This qualification provides competencies to supervise and conduct gas supply industry activities, including installation, diagnostics, and maintenance of: 


  • Aistribution gas pipelines 
  • Associated equipment 
  • Transmission gas pipelines- PKD Training does not provide this training 
  • Cylinders - PKD Training does not provide this training 


The qualification also provides competencies for a person who works in a gas control center/gas control room environment to monitor and control the flow and pressure of natural gas within transmission, distribution, storage and gathering systems, and respond to routine and emergency situations using a wide range of industry response procedures. 


It may also include responsibility for supervising or coordinating the work of others. 

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. 

Course Delivery

 To be awarded the UEG40222 Certificate IV in Gas Supply Industry Operations competency must be achieved in completing nineteen (19) units of competency – 5 x Core; 1 x Group A; 6 x Group B; 4 x Group C and 3 x Other Elective units.

PKD Training highly recommend completing the Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry Operations  -  UEG30122  as a face-to-face or blended delivery option prior to completing the   Certificate IV in Gas Supply Industry Operations - UEG40222.  

  

  • Face-to-Face – Full Course delivered onsite at your workplace/ site location  
  • Targeted knowledge training and assessment completed in workplace training room 
  • Skills training contextualised to workplace and practical assessment completed onsite 
  • Blended Delivery - Self-paced Modules with Face-to-Face Competency Assessment 
  • Knowledge training is completed using self-paced modules with assessments, to be completed prior to Competency assessment 
  • Competency assessment is completed with face-to-face observation and discussion onsite at your workplace/ site location; completion of Supervisor sign-off; workplace job requirement documentation as evidence.  
  • Self-paced Modules - for all units of competency  
  • After completion of the Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry Operations the applicant can complete the remaining five (5) units of competency as a self-paced model.  
  • These units are essential core units for the Certificate IV qualification.  

Content

 A skill set in UEG40222 is a defined group of units focused on specific skills and knowledge required for targeted job roles or tasks within the Gas Supply Industry sector. It provides a flexible way to build or refresh skills specific to your worksite.

Completing this course helps address knowledge gaps, formalise existing experience, and support career progression by converting workplace expertise into nationally recognised qualifications.

Practical Requirements

  •  Practical assessment requires participants to be working onsite within the Gas Supply Industry.  
  • Applicants are experienced workers, wanting to identify knowledge gaps, formalise existing experience, and support career progression by converting workplace expertise into nationally recognised qualifications. 
  • Applicants are expected to have access to workplace documentation required to complete workplace tasks reflected in the Skill Set. This will require access to the site Document Management System for components of some units.
